Ben is set to appear at the 2013 FedCon 22 in Duesseldorf, Germany.
The convention dates are 9 - 12 May 2013.

Ben Browder at the Final Farscape Convention

After twelve years and four 'Final Frelling' Farscape conventions, Creation Entertainment's annual Farscape Convention is no more.
It will however be part of their Grand Slam convention next year that will include many other shows in addition to Farscape.
This year Ben surprised the audience by introducing what he called his two 'projects' of 14 and 18 years. Upon that announcement he brought on stage his 14 year old son Milo and 18 year old daughter Imogen. His wife Francesca also joined them on stage. It was a Farscape farewell gift from the Browder family to their Farscape family as Ben was always guarded and protective of his children's privacy.
In addition to his surprise, Ben gave the crowd one of his famous Q & A's and a heartfelt speech about family, friends, those who left this world and those who joined it during the years of the conventions. There were a lot of tears and cheers throughout.
I was lucky to be one of the many people at the final Farscape Con and will remember it fondly not only for the joy of seeing the talented actors, producers, writers and creators but also for seeing the many friends I have made over the course of my love of Farscape.
Until we all meet again, can I get a 'Hell Yeah!"?

A new Ben Browder fan, Hal, posted a report about his first Ben Browder convention experience.
Here is an excerpt from Hal's report about asking Ben a question.
This was it. The moment of truth. Would he simply laugh? Would he say that was the dumbest question ever? A pregnant pause. It got longer. And longer. Why was the whole room – and Ben – staring at me? Then, relief; Ben reacted positively and gave a thoughtful answer relating to the advantages held by classically trained actors. He made the point (and I am paraphrasing) that when acting in a Shakespeare play an actor has to use his imagination to place himself in a different time and world – the time and world of Shakespeare and his imagination. Such times and worlds have different realities from our time and world. The same is true of Science Fiction. An actor has to be able to imagine his setting is literally a different world with different realities and he has to imagine such different worlds and realities while acting in front of a green screen. Further, when performing Shakespeare, the actor has to be able to pronounce strange words and deliver long soliloquies. The same is often true of Science Fiction. There are certainly odd words and the actors often have to be able to speak in phrases other than monosyllabic words.
